For Lion, we now support using your Mac username/password. See this page:

I also have the same problem even though I upgraded everything.
It kept saying that my Mac username and password are wrong. Even the VNC authentication won't work!

Just tried iTeleport for the first time with Lion and it only seems to log in directly to my Admin account. If i put the username and password for any other account, it will just say:
Please enter your Mac username and password"
The account I normally use does not have admin privileges and I don't use the Admin account for anything else than general computer maintenance stuff, so I'd really like to be able to log in directly to my non-admin account. Can this be fixed? Thanks.
Sorry for the late reply. It is still not working... i pay for this app and it is useless to me now. Keep asking me for username and password.
Consider me a noob, which is the one? full name? shortname? all i have tried and it is not working. even vnc, i can only reach the login page... after that, it will not allow me to login also.. it just freeze there.
I also have this problem connecting either my ipad or my iphone to my mac mini. However, I can connect both ipad and iphone successfully using the Mac login details on my Macbook. Both macbook and macmini are running the same uptodate version of Lion.
Like Tan Kee Eng, I feel that having outlayed money for this software, it certainly isn't performing as expected. Please can you update us with what you are doing to fix this, as we are clearly not the only ones with this issue?

Most users are not seeing this issue, but there may be a specific case that is causing you to have issues. Also, to clarify, when you connect via VNC, OSX Lion is still buggy which is why you are unable to login that way (that is the reason why we added Mac login).
Please email us and we'll investigate this further to get this resolved.
I figure it out myself already. It is a messy solution and over time, it took me 4 hours to get it to work.... but if every time there is a OS update, it might happen again... hmmmm
Can you share what the root cause was and what you did to get around this? I'm having an issue that sounds much like what you've described, and in working with the Jaadu support team, we're unable to resolve it.
Essentially, it looks like something in my specific user account. I can log in just fine on my home computer, but for my work computer, I can't. If I create a new user on that mac, I can make it connect, however, from my regular account I can not. We've checked all the settings, and they appear to be correct.
Any pointers you might be able to share would be much appreciated!
has anyone figured out the problem or more importantly, a solution? if i use VNC to log in, i get a grey screen. if i use my mac information, i am told it's the wrong username/password.
The only thing I've found — as a work-around — is to disable Remote Management and to enable Screen Sharing. If I do this, I can log in with my Mac username and pass.
I followed the instructions for installation on iMac, iPad and iPhone to a T. it still tells me that my username and password are incorrect. Yes, I have lion and am following the lion instructions and it still won't work. I've e-mailed tech support and no one has answered. I'd like to work from home this weekend and have tried setting this up for the past 2 hours. I've called apple tech support to see if the problem was on their end and even changed my mac password, just in case. itelecommute doesn't accept the new or old password. This is frustrating! it's supposed to be easy. :(
I got this error after another error about already being logged in elsewhere. When I disconnected and reconnected the error changed to this one. I tried version 5.3 which was working fine on another computer and the error changed to saying I was already logged in, but still wouldn't connect. I finally rebooted the computer which fixed the problem.
I was having the same problem.
I noticed that in "system preferences --> sharing --> screen sharing --> allow access for: --> only these users" I could not add my day to day user name no matter how many times i tried it wouldn't stick until I "clicked the lock to prevent any further changes" then I "clicked the lock (again) to make changes" then I was finally able to add my day to day user name to the list and in turn log in to my mac with my phone.

I had this exact issue and the solution above is what worked. I could not log into any account but the administrator. I had to lock the lock and then unlock it before I could add (and make it stick) that that user could view the screen.
I just find out the solution!. Try to rename your main(administrator) account and re-add your self in system preferences --> sharing --> screen sharing --> allow access for: add your renamed account.
